Event Description


Participation in Vad-Vivaad will require participation in a team of two people. The event will have 3 rounds all being elimination rounds.
Round 1 will be an online objective quiz. The participants will have to answer 20 questions in 15 minutes.
The 2nd round will be subjective caselet based quiz. The quiz will have 8 caselets the participants will have to answer it in 45-50 minutes.
The final round will have two parts. Part one being a 3 minute extempore on a topic allotted by lottery. Topics will be related to economic issues in India and around the world. Part two will be a debate competition. The topics of debate competition will be floated to the final round participants after the result of second round is declared .

Round 1: 14th Oct 2017, 15 minute slot
Round 2: 17th Oct 2017 , 50 minutes

Rules & Regulations
• Each team must comprise of 2 members
• Members must be a student of 2 years full time MBA/ PGDM course
• Both the members of the team should be from the same institute
• Both PGP-1 and PGP-2 can apply
• No participant can be a part of more than one team
• Teams who do not adhere to the rules and regulations will be disqualified
• In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizing team will be final and binding

Judging Criteria
Round 1 will be an objective quiz and top 4 teams will be awarded. +3, -1 will be the marking scheme for the test.
Round 2 will have application based questions. If a participant applies the concept correctly, he/she will get full marks. However, partly correct answers will fetch partial marks. In case two teams score equal marks, the team that completes the round faster will be selected.
Round 3, the main event will be judged by a team of visiting judges.

Submission Details
Round 1 and round 2 will be online rounds.

The rules of the competition can be changed by the organizing team at any moment to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances. In case of any conflict, organizing team’s decision will be deemed as final.
